May 21 brought two of our favorite annual events: the Trenton Avenue Arts Festival and the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby, a design competition and parade celebrating human powered transit and art in our neighborhood, Kensington. Thousands gathered in the sun to celebrate the creativity, ingenuity and all that is good in our hood. Thanks to the East Kensington Neighbors Association and New Kensington Community Development Corp for another great event, and to Philadelphia Brewing Company for the beers.
