What could be sweeter than opening not one, but two outposts of LDV Hospitality’s Dolce Italian in the same year? The stylish Italian eatery effortlessly delivers the elegance and charm of Fellini’s 1960’s Rome to the chic residents of Buckhead.
Zagat thinks Dolce is one of the sexiest restaurants in the US. Now that’s pretty sweet!

Eater has a look inside our latest, Dolce Italian that opens to the public this Tuesday. Located at The Godfrey Hotel, this is the newest outpost for Dolce, which recently won the Tom Colicchio-hosted Best New Restaurant on Bravo.
Urban Daddy was first on the scene calling us out on our Marcello Mastroianni design inspiration. But while they rave about the mid-century vibes, we think it’s a little more post-war brutalist cool; La Dolce Vita through the lens of The Tenth Victim in bold orange and greys, tailored just right with a hint of effortless, cinematic cool.

Special thanks to the team from D+K for taking the vision to reality.

One week since opening, and Barchetta is making lots of noise, even topping the latest Manhattan Heatmap from Eater. Here’s a rundown of recent press including a look inside from talented photographer Daniel Krieger for Eater, and more great shots from Oleg March for UrbanDaddy.
Grub Street has the lowdown on the menu, and The Daily Meal has an early review of the food and the concept calling it, ” the most intriguing and satisfying seafood-centric restaurant to open in Manhattan since Marea.”
Paper Magazine gets into the act with a feature on LDV Hospitality’s John Meadow and the story of how he lured fish whisperer Dave Pasternack to come on board, as well as his travel secrets.
It’s been a great first week and we’re excited to be part of the team at Barchetta. Go check it out.

Barchetta, the highly anticipated 23rd Street restaurant we designed for acclaimed chef Dave Pasternack and LDV Hospitality’s John Meadow, opened last night. Featuring the freshest, locally sourced ingredients in a casual, light-filled space that mixes vintage and hand-crafted furniture and fixtures, Barchetta is our interpretation of a bustling, neighborhood trattoria. Here is a look at the menu from Zagat , and some details on the concept and the design from WWD .
Stay tuned for more pictures of the space and the food.

The cold weather has definitely settled in, so there’s no better time to head to the Mainline’s new mecca for seasonal comfort food: The Saint James, the 125-seater we designed for Michael Schulson and Rob Wasserman that opened in October. Here’s a look inside.

The March 2012 issue of Gotham Magazine features a fashion editorial shot at our favorite NY restaurant.
Caffè Storico is Stephen Starr’s Italian-inspired cicchetteria located in the New-York Historical Society. Executive chef Jim Burke helms the kitchen, turning out small plates, handmade pastas, entrées, and classic desserts; an all-Italian wine list rounds out the menu. The restaurant, designed by SLDesign, incorporates both modern and vintage elements such as leather banquette seating and china selected from the museum’s collection.
