AMERICAN FISH

Opened in December 2009, American Fish was inspired by chef Michael Mina’s vision of a modern American fish house featuring the regional bounty of the nation’s great lakes, rivers and coasts. The restaurant was designed to evoke the spirit of the American landscape and a sense of turn of the century craftsmanship. A modern interpretation of the classic 19th century lodges of the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West, the restaurant is as comfortable as it is contemporary. Artisan cast glass and art glass, woven copper metal mesh and a glass enclosed display kitchen are juxtaposed with rustic native American hardwoods, oxidized Corten steel and an autumnal forest of paper birch trees to create a visual tension that is contemporary, warm and romantic.
